Mike Watts - Vocals/Trumpet
AKA- The Commander
The only original member of Badness after jointly forming the band in 1994. Mike had a number of jobs ranging from the jewellery trade to caravan manufacturing as well as being in the entertainment business until turning professional when Badness were formed.
He has gained valuable experience on the "Northern Club Circuit" during the late 1980's & early 90's with such bands as "The Rooftops" and "Joe Stax and the Soul Stars". Having been a guitarist in the past, Mike now concentrates on lead vocals, trumpet and harmonica, bringing Badness that authentic Ska sound.
Jamie Moore - Guitar
Jamie has been on the music circuit in and around Hull for years. He has had his own columns in our local evening paper 'The Hull Daily Mail' and has been writing about the club scene in Hull.
A truly gifted musician, during his time in Badness Jamie has played Drums and Bass aswell ....... and now going back to Guitar! . (Jamie was also on New Faces in July 1974)
Jamie is also endorsed by MarkBass
Jon Whinham - Bass
The gentle giant of the band Jon is so laid back he can fall asleep on a bass guitar bottom E string..!! Performing in the past with Legendary Hull bands such as Nine Play Hendrix, Pearls Cab Ride and the Steelyard & Steve Fulsham blues bands Jon joined the Badness express in May 2016 fitting in instantly.
A straight talking funny guy Jon can either be found on Stage Left or servicing 'Little Bud' his beloved Mini.
Ben Saville - Keyboards
"Who's boss 'o' keyboards now mate?"
Ben has been playing keyboards since he was a sperm and is a complete natural, He joined Badness at the begining of 2017 as part of the great Badness 'shake up'.
He has heaps of experience having previously performed with Hull band Shang-A-Lang and also gigged with John Rossal's Glitter Band around the UK as well as session work.
A great and talented kid but has a tendancy to only bring one shoe...!!!!
Conor Maher - Drums
The youngest and newest recruit to the Badness regiment. Conor has been a session drummer for thirteen years now in which time he has recorded at the infamous Sun Studios in Memphis, performed with bands such as Toploader and Pigeon Detectives along with various artistes on BBC Introducing.
With the biggest appetite in the band Conor doesn't have a set list.....he has a Menu..!!!!
Clarke Newton - Sax
Lovely guy and the most sociable of the band...despite his former life living as a rock n roll star recluse after performing on Top Of The Pops in 1977 with his then band HONKY!!
A great character but we still wonder how he plays the sax with no lungs ?!?
